  • Digital Games Engineering and Development

    Post-Work

One of the main skills of this master's degree is to teach its students to work in groups in a project-oriented way, giving them practical experience of all the stages of game design. They start by designing interaction experiences, mechanics and ways of communicating these ideas through game prototyping. The ideas are then transformed into logical and computational steps, allowing students to program their ideas using the latest technologies.

The Master of Engineering in Digital Game Development (MEDJD) is aimed at those who want to learn the main technologies that support game development, but also game design, analysis and production. We educate professionals who will contribute to the future of digital games, adapting state-of-the-art technology to mechanics and design, according to their cultural significance. In this master's degree, students will participate in the experience of creating video games at IPCA's Digital Games Research and Development Center, having access to all the laboratories dedicated to the production area, training professionals capable of integrating this global industry.

This Master's Degree has the support of Full Sail University, one of the world's leading universities in the field of digital games development, which signed a collaboration agreement with the School of Technology in March 2015.

The research projects are wide-ranging and can cover purely technological topics, as well as issues related to gaming culture, game design, animation, or the immersion and gaming experience.
